Winner of Best Exterior Architectural Design Award

Award presented by The 2011 Cleveland's Choice Awards by Cleveland HBA

I am a manifestation of Cleveland. My heritage can be found in my sense of place. I am created to express
the richness that is my home; its industry, creativity, knowledge and diversity. Thus my roots are who I am, how I wish to be remembered

I celebrate industry by cladding myself in masonry and steel, their colors familiar to those who may explore the fabric of this city.

I celebrate creativity by my composition. I announce University Circle by my location, home to many creative institutions. My massing is a repetition of similar forms, my courtyard is awash in color.

I celebrate knowledge by my quest for sustainability. I am constructed of materials that are rapidly renewable, contribute to indoor air quality and harvest daylight. I take up less space, consume less energy and demand less of my adjacent infrastructure. I make my roofs green.

I celebrate diversity by my sense of place. I find myself between neighborhoods and institutions, transportation and dwelling; a thread in the stitch that connects fabric of this community. I am Circle 118, a place to call home.
